S T. P E T E // F L O R I D A

This weekend Nick and I flew down to St. Petersburg, FL to visit my grandmother and it was so much fun! I adore my grandmother so much and bless her for passing her good looks down to me, heya! Anyway we've done some cute things while here, I took Nick to some places I would go during my childhood. It's exhilarating to show the man I love where I hung out after school or even where I went to high school haha - he grew up near Chicago so the scenery is MUCH different here in Florida! Well I took it upon myself to write a quick post for you all of what I think is great to bring on a short weekend to the Gulf.

What to Pack:

Airport attire is always a challenge for me because I struggle between wanting to be comfortable and wanting to look chic. You can't go wrong with your fave pair of white jeans and a simple white v-neck top, I get my essential T-shirt basics from Old Navy! I find myself cold all the time, so this cardigan was perfect for the chilly airport and flight - warm enough to cover up but light & airy to withstand the heat in FL!

This adorable little white dress is perfect for the beach, I wore this to take Nick to my "go to beach" as a teenager - Indian Rocks Beach, isn't it darling? The best part, It's only $20! It's from a Toronto based store called Joe Fresh. I paired it with T strap sandals during the day and added some glam with blue drop earrings!

Where to Shop:

Marion's - If you like cute little boutique shops near the beach with a ton of different gift ideas this is the place to go! This store has everything from home decor to handbags and clothing to fine china - there's a gift for every level of budget! I bought my grandmother this adorable cross body bag by Spartina 449, she absolutely loves it. My best friend from home (Hi Aimee!!) has the exact same one!

Seminole Shopping Plaza - Growing up this was a rarely entered strip mall that has turned into a fully functional shopping center equipped with a movie theater (dinner & drinks!), Home Goods, Ulta Beauty, SteinMart - which is the real OG here, am I right Floridian's?! As well as cute little southern food restaurants and more shops.

Where to Dine:

A turn of events occurred and we gladly agreed to stay home and cook all meals with my grandmother, I mean who doesn't like grandma's cookin'?! We made all things Czech, including Rizky (Schnitzel) for dinner & Chlebíčky (Open-Faced Sandwiches) for lunch, mmm! Both Nick and I left with full stomachs and happy smiles!

xoxo Ashley
