Fall Home Decor - Affordable, Chic & Classic

September 17, 2018

Happy Monday everyone! Today's post has been brought to you by pumpkin spice lattes otherwise this post would not be up, hah! This weekend has been quite productive with fall shopping, and DIYing so many many many cups of PSL's were in need. Coffee is life, am I right!? Anyway, If you didn't catch last weeks post on how we made the raw edge accent table and the side table you can go check it out here, otherwise keep reading to see how our coffee table DIY turned out and what my top picks from fall shopping are!

I went to three different stores over the weekend which were Home Goods, Target, and Walgreen's (surprising I know!). I found that I really like Home Goods over Target for decor because they have more variety for a "cute" Halloween rather than classic spooky. I went with Home Goods pumpkins because they are multipurpose - one is a light and the other is potpourri that smells like pumpkin pie, yum! Home Goods can be a bit pricier than others but everything ranged from $5 to $10, so totally budget friendly.

If you're looking for more budget friendly decorations I highly suggest Target's dollar section! I found the rust orange colored blanket, small green pillows, smaller pumpkins, truck with bed, pumpkin pie pan, and apple vase fillers in the $1, $3, & $5 aisles! The candles were a bit pricey but I think so worth it, each of the small candles were $4 and the larger ones ranged between $6 & $10. If you're anything like me, and you want the entire place to be decked out with decor and spirit then you could honestly decorate your home with less than $75 by doing this!

I normally don't shop at Walgreen's for decorations but I just had to get this adorable little fox, plus he was only $6! He sits perfectly perched up and goes with pretty much anything since he is this bright yet warm orange color which reminds me of an orange autumn leaf - you can see him sitting in my reading chair!

As I mentioned last week Nick and I are re-purposing our IKEA coffee table over the weekend. I have more DIY ideas coming up for fall soon, but I just had to show you our coffee table - It turned out even better than I imagined it would! I'm going for more of a warm southwestern feel and the multicolored woods do just the right justice to our home.
